WHAT IS SKIN REJUVENATION?

Visible signs of ageing cannot be fully avoided, yet can be dramatically minimised. The solution is to do it as gently as possible. What does the treatment involve?

Our system releases precisely controlled, strong pulses of filtered light, which stimulate the fibroblast cells within the skin, that produce collagen and elastin. This improves the radiancy and tightness of the skin, controlling enlarged pores and giving a more uniform complexion.

How is the treatment performed?

A cold gel is applied to the treatment area and protection to the eyes. A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth, transparent handpiece, which is gently placed over the skin. Cut-off filters in the handpicce change the wavelength range allowing it to be optimised. This response increases the natural production of collagen and the regeneration of new skin cells. This natural action takes place in the dermis and can take 4-6 weeks before the effects are visible on the surface.

How does the treatment feel?

No anaesthesia is required and the discomfort is described as moderate. Descriptions vary. Heat will be felt to the area.

Are there any side effects?

Enhanced redness and a slight warming sensation are normal after treatment. A cooling pack is applied to the skin to ease these symptoms. Tightening of the skin should increase over a 24 hour period, building up with each treatment. Slight swelling over the cheekbones may be experienced, which can last up to 72 hours.
