What is it?

With the latest, most advanced whitening treatment available at the Aesthetic and Laser Clinic, we administer a clinically proven procedure, with better whitening results than LED or plasma arc systems. Our powerful halogen light source omits a concentrated beam of high intensity blue light, to accelerate the whitening process. An advanced filtration system of over 13,500 optical fibres and 30 layers of coated optical glass removes all harmful heat and ultraviolet light, while our specially formulated whitening gel works to whiten teeth.

How it works:

Our professional aesthetic dentistry team use a whitening gel. When exposed to the tooth’s dentine (found directly under the enamel), the whitening process occurs. The oxidising agent penetrates the enamel, and the pigmentation found in the dentine tube oxidises. It breaks down stains that block light, and discolouration, rendering a white finish, which the porous element of the tooth, is then reflected through the translucent enamel.

Additionally, our patented gels are tailored to the pH level of saliva, so as not to cause any damage to teeth or gums, alongside a desensitising agent to prevent the likelihood of sensitivity.

Including same day consultation, treatment takes 1 hour:

• An evaluation is performed to ensure the Patient is suitable for teeth whitening.
• The procedure is explained and any questions answered.
• Tooth shade is evaluated and recorded in order to compare your new bright, white smile at the end of treatment.
• A cheek retractor is positioned in the mouth, whereby a barrier cream is applied to lips and eyes protected.
• An activator spray is applied to maximise results.
• The whitening agent is applied to each tooth and is activated by our Laser System, positioned in front of the Patient’s mouth for 20 minutes. This is repeated 3 consecutive times.
• New shade is revealed and compared to pre treatment shade.

In conjunction with aftercare advice, also available are our specialist toothpastes, preventing cavities, reducing tartar build-up, eliminating plaque and freshening breath. Custom-fitted take home whitening tray system can be used to maintain your whitening results.
